Holiday Programmes at Wildflower
A slower, more creative way to spend the school break.
19-23rd & 26-30th October
14-18th, 21-23rd & 28-30th December
Ages 4–8 | 9:00am–12:00pm
Giving your children time to step away from the busy schedules and into 5 mornings of creativity, movement, sensory exploration, mindfulness and connection at Wildflower.
Our Mid-Term programme gives children time and space to explore without rushing from one activity to the next. Each morning blends children's yoga and movement with process art, sensory experiences, storytelling, music, designing and making, mindfulness and plenty of opportunities for calm and relaxation.
There is structure and intention behind every morning but also space for children to follow their curiosity, make choices and become absorbed in what interests them.
With intentionally small groups and highly experienced teachers, children are supported to feel comfortable, connected and completely themselves.

More than something to keep them busy.
School breaks can quickly become another packed schedule.
At Wildflower, we want to offer something different.
Our mornings are thoughtfully designed around children's wellbeing, creativity and nervous systems. We balance movement and stimulation with quieter moments of concentration, connection and guided rest.
Children will spend part of the morning moving their bodies through imaginative yoga games and partner yoga; become completely absorbed in process-art experiences; explore calming sensory materials; design and make something from scratch using modelling materials; share stories and ideas with new friends, and finish together with relaxation and a quiet book.
There is no pressure to perform, create something that looks a particular way or "be good" at anything.
The experience is about the process: wondering, experimenting, moving, making, connecting, regulating and discovering.

What we'll explore
Process Art, Design & Creation
Painting, printing, modelling, collage, natural materials and open-ended creative invitations where children can experiment with colour, texture and materials, designing their own creations and problem-solving, without being shown what the finished piece should look like.
Yoga, Movement & Body Awareness
Playful yoga adventures, partner activities, movement games and creative movement help children develop body awareness, coordination and confidence while discovering how movement can change the way they feel.
Sensory Exploration
Thoughtfully created sensory experiences invite children to touch, mix, manipulate, investigate, experiment, problem-solve and become absorbed in hands-on exploration, supporting curiosity, creativity and regulation.
Mindfulness & Relaxation
Breathing practices, sound, stories, visualisation and age-appropriate relaxation introduce children to practical ways of slowing down and settling their minds and bodies.
Stories, Music & Imagination
Storytelling, instruments, music, singing and imaginative play are woven throughout our mornings, encouraging communication, expression and expansive thinking.
Connection & Group Time
Small groups give children time to genuinely get to know one another. Shared projects, partner activities, conversations and little Wildflower rituals create opportunities for friendship, cooperation and belonging.

What a morning at Wildflower might look like
9am: Arrive & Explore
A gentle arrival with invitations to make, draw, explore and settle into the space. Time for mindful making, design and creation, and sensory exploration.
9:30am Come Together
Our morning circle, topical conversations and theme for the day.
9:40am Yoga
Yoga, imaginative movement, partner yoga activities, breathing, mindfulness and body-awareness experiences.
10:20am Snack & Connect
Time to eat, chat and simply be together.
10.45am Slow Down
A quieter experience including storytelling, beautiful books, gentle music and guided relaxations.
11am Create & Explore
Our longer process-art, where children can experiment and explore with 3 different art stations at their own pace and in their own way.
11:45am Closing Circle
Coming back together to share, reflect and close our morning. We may sing, explore new musical instruments and read a story or poem together.
Our timetable is intentionally flexible. We respond to the children, their interests and the energy of the group rather than rushing them away from something meaningful because the clock says it's time.
Small groups. Thoughtful teachers.
Wildflower programmes are intentionally kept small.
This gives our teachers time to notice, listen and respond to the children in front of them, rather than simply managing a large group through a predetermined schedule.
Our programmes are led by experienced educators who have been personally trained and certified in children's yoga and social-emotional wellbeing through Wildflower, bringing together professional teaching experience with an understanding of children's emotional regulation, body awareness and wellbeing.
We don't expect every child to regulate in the same way. Some children need movement. Some need sensory input. Some need creativity, connection or a quieter space before they're ready to join the group.
We meet children where they are.

Skills that travel home
What happens at Wildflower isn't intended to stay in the studio.
Parents regularly tell us that their children come home demonstrating breathing techniques, talking about relaxation strategies, sharing what they've created and teaching family members things they've discovered at Wildflower.
Through play, movement and creative experiences, children develop greater awareness of their bodies, emotions and individual needs.
Importantly, our teachers actively help children understand the purpose of the techniques they learn - when they might use them, why they can help and how to practice them independently.
Children learn practical strategies they can take beyond the studio: what they might try when they feel worried or frustrated, have an over-busy brain, feel overstimulated, struggle to settle at bedtime, or simply need to slow down and reset.
Over time, they begin to build their own personal wellbeing toolkit, not just knowing the strategies, but recognising when and how to use them.
They've spent the morning making, moving and having fun but
underneath the play, they're building skills for life.
Upcoming Programmes at Wildflower
Autumn at Wildflower (Mid-Term Holidays)
19-23rd October I 26-30th October
A celebration of nature, creativity and the changing season.
As autumn arrives, children are invited to slow down and notice the changing natural world through 5 mornings of movement, making, sensory exploration and seasonal discovery.
Inspired by autumn and the natural rhythms of the season, we'll explore themes such as changing colours, woodland animals, habitats, leaves, seeds, textures and the ways plants and animals prepare for the cooler months.
Natural and autumn-inspired materials become invitations to paint, print, build, sculpt, stick, collect, arrange and create, alongside sensory experiences, storytelling, music and imaginative play.
Yoga and mindfulness are integrated throughout each morning, with yoga-movement inspired by nature and practical opportunities for children to notice their bodies, regulate their energy and learn strategies they can use when they need to slow down or find calm.
As Halloween approaches, we'll also bring in a little seasonal magic - imaginative, playful and nature-led.
A week to explore the season with curious hands, creative minds and moving bodies.

Winter at Wildflower
14–18th December
A cosy celebration of winter through creativity, movement & sensory discovery.
As winter arrives, children will explore the season through 5 mornings of process art, sensory play, yoga, storytelling, music and creative making.
Inspired by winter landscapes, light, texture and the natural world, children will experiment with beautiful materials and different ways to paint, print, sculpt, build and create. Movement and stories bring the season to life, while quieter sensory experiences and relaxation give children opportunities to slow down and notice how their minds and bodies feel.
Alongside all the creativity, our teachers continue to explicitly teach children practical regulation strategies - what they can do, when they might need them and how they can use them independently at home or at school.

We'll explore Christmas through the five senses during these 3 mornings. Children are invited to experience the season through smell, touch, sound, sight and taste.
We'll explore the natural scents and textures associated with Christmas - cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus, pine, herbs and natural materials - through sensory invitations, art and making.
Children might work with foliage and natural materials to create their own wreaths and decorations, explore festive colour and scent through process art, listen and respond to seasonal music, and enjoy Christmas-inspired stories, yoga and sensory experiences.
We'll also explore some of the emotional and social parts of Christmas: giving, gratitude, kindness and being together, including opportunities to make something meaningful for somebody else.

New Year at Wildflower
28-30th December
Rest busy brains & bodies. Reset for January.
After Christmas, we're deliberately doing less.
New Year at Wildflower is a 3-morning wellbeing experience designed to help children decompress after the excitement, changing routines and sensory overload of the festive season.
Children will have access to intentionally created wellbeing spaces and choose what their minds and bodies need: calming sensory experiences, quiet making, process art, books and stories, gentle sound experiences, calming visual projections, mindful movement and comfortable spaces simply to rest.
We'll actively explore how different forms of rest feel because rest doesn't always mean sitting still. One child may regulate through movement, another through repetitive making, another through sensory input, drawing, music or quiet.
As January approaches, our teachers will help children revisit their personal regulation strategies and think about what they can do when school feels busy, they're tired, frustrated, worried or overwhelmed.
We'll also gently mark the transition into a new year through memories, gratitude and looking forward.
